ShipRocked 2014: Initial Band Lineup

The initial band lineup has been announced for ShipRocked 2014. The ultimate rock music cruise vacation onboard the Norwegian Pearl will depart from the Port Of Miami and will visit a private island in the Bahamas during the January 26-30, 2014 excursion.

The initial band lineup for ShipRocked 2014--fueled by Monster Energy--includes: headliners Five Finger Death Punch, along with Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Device (featuring David Draiman), Sevendust, In This Moment, Candlebox, The Halo Method, Nonpoint, Aranda, Young Guns, Crash Kings, American Fangs and Andy Wood & The Amalgam. Look for additional bands to be announced in the coming weeks.

Five Finger Death Punch has released three consecutive RIAA gold certified albums. The band's ten consecutive Top 10 radio hits--including 2012's #1 hit "Coming Down”--have spawned cumulative single sales of over 4.2 million. The group will release the first of their two new 2013 studio CDs The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 1 July 30 via Prospect Park. The lead single from the new album, "Lift Me Up" (featuring Rob Halford of Judas Priest) is currently #6 on Active Rock radio.

ShipRocked veterans Sevendust will treat fans to a rare acoustic performance. Sevendust’s Morgan Rose explains, “Sevendust has played ShipRocked a number of times and it's become our favorite event to be a part of. This time around we’re gonna add a little twist and do an acoustic show. We haven't done this in years and thought what better time to do it again, than with our friends on ShipRocked? We are beyond excited to be a part of this amazing event and can't wait to see all you guys again!”

Tickets for the ShipRocked 2014 experience go on sale Monday, July 1 at Noon Eastern Time at www.ShipRocked.com.

Each ShipRocked is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that provides guests with the opportunity to vacation with their favorite bands, meet new friends, and reunite with old friends year after year. On any given day, guests might find themselves dining, drinking, rocking out, swimming, working out, or gambling alongside their favorite rock stars. The full-ship charter provides a one-of-a-kind experience for guests to have the time of their life with thousands of like-minded friends.

For the first time in 2014, ShipRocked will wash ashore on its own private island. Guests will spend two full days enjoying concerts and activities on a private beach on Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas (http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/great-stirrup-cay). The island features a large performance area on the beach with full production for rock shows and offers various island excursions such as parasailing, snorkeling, canoeing and more.

2014 also marks a vessel change for ShipRocked. The January 26-30, 2014 ShipRocked voyage will be held onboard the Norwegian Pearl, which Frommer’s calls one of the “most original mainstream megaships.” The Pearl features luxurious accommodations, along with 16 delicious dining options, 13 bars and lounges, casino, spa, fitness center, a chic bowling alley, rock climbing wall, sports court, two pools, waterslides, hot tubs, and much more.

As in the past, ShipRocked guests will enjoy multiple performances from every band on different stages throughout the ship, artist meet and greets, Q&A sessions, along with artist-hosted activities including contests, game shows, insane parties, theme nights and more.

ICYMI: Tom Keifer On 'The Late Show With David Letterman'

I meant to watch live but got sidetracked by squirrels and shiny objects. Thanks to the Internet, we can all watch Tom Keifer perform on the The Late Show With David Letterman. Being the musical guest on Letterman is a huge deal and I'm very happy for Tom! Also, this only means great things for Glam.

Tesla Performs Their New Song 'Taste My Pain'

Tesla has a new song called "Taste My Pain."

The band recorded the song earlier this month. You'll be able to buy the download of "Taste My Pain" soon.

Rumors point to Tesla releasing an album sometime in 2014. That's quite awhile from now... and if the band is already recording, I'm inclined to hope a new one is out sooner rather than later.

You Can Buy Marq Torien's Pants for Seven Grand

This might be the oddest eBay auction ever. You can currently bid on Marq Torien's used stage pants... the price is currently hovering around seven thousand bucks at the time of this writing. The pants were worn on a major Bulletboys tour and in the "For The Love of Money" video. Check out the link to gawk. I can't imagine anyone spending that kind of dough on some used pants, but hey, different strokes, right?

Top 5 Def Leppard Party Songs

Happy Father's Day!

I was listening to Def Leppard while en route to Kings Island (a big amusement park here in Ohio) when it dawned on me that it is very hard to pick the band's top five party songs. I decided narrowing it down would be a good challenge for all of us. Here's my list. Leave yours in the comments section.

5. Pour Some Sugar On Me
4. Make Love Like a Man
3. Slang
2. Photograph
1. Wasted

Anderson Cooper Mocks Metal Theme Song

A Canadian metal band named Cryptic Murmurs wrote a song about CNN anchor Anderson Cooper called... "Anderson Cooper." Basically... this just rules. I love it when Anderson throws the devil horns. Metal for life!
