Some of you are fans of the Gypsy Pistoleros. The band has gone through some changes and now lead singer Lee Pistolero has branched out on his own as Gypsy Pistolero. Here's a release that explains it all:

Flamenco-Sleaze-Glam rock band Gypsy Pistolero featuring front man Lee Pistolero has signed with Jamsync Music for the release of DUENDE - Last Of The Pistoleros.

Gypsy Pistoleros made their U.S debut as they opened Rocklahoma 12th July 2007 alongside such heavy legends as Twisted Sister, Poison, Vince Neil, L.A Guns, Bang Tango, Skid Row,Slaughter, Faster Pussycat, Dokken. They returned to the U.S & Rocklahoma 2008 as the only U.K/Spanish group, headlining Friday night on the second stage.  They repeated their performance at the South Texas Rock Festival the day after. Steve Whiteman Does 'Foolin' and I Freak Out

My heart totally just stopped.

It full on stopped. I discovered an album I never knew existed. The album? Leppardmania: A Tribute to Def Leppard. Ok, let me clarify: I knew the album existed but I thought "Another lame tribute record, whatever." And I forgot about it. And then last night I found the clip of Steve Whiteman singing "Foolin'" and I almost wept with joy.

Oh. My. Glam.

So after I listen with rapture at my beloved Steve his little heart out, I immediately went to Amazon to get the album and some more details. Of course, the album is "temporarily out of stock" so I didn't delay or pass go - I immediately went to eBay and bought it that way. And then I went back to Amazon to check out all of the musicians on the record and it's everyone we love! Tracii Guns, Eric Turner, Jerry Dixon, and Randy Castillo, Phil Lewis, Jizzy Pearl, John Corabi and more and more and more!

Here's the track listing:

John Corabi - Wasted
Joe LeSte - Rock Brigade
Jani Lane - Photograph
Kevin DuBrow - Rock, Rock
Stevie Rachelle - Too Late For Love
Steve Whiteman - Foolin'
Kelly Hansen - Rock Of Ages
Phil Lewis - Bringin' On The Heartbreak
Jason McMaster - Let It Go
Jizzy Pearl - High & Dry
Kory Clarke - You Got Me Running
Paul Shortino - On Through The Night

So, I can't wait for my still shrink-wrapped (!) CD to arrive from my far-flung eBay seller! It is so rare - horribly rare - that I get excited about music these days. I am just sick of the same old thing but this is something for me to enjoy and love! And Steve Whiteman is on the record! And Corabi!

Leppardmania: A Tribute to Def Leppard came out in 2000 on Cleopatra. I guess I should pay attention to tribute albums in the future.

Another SIXX:AM Teaser: 'Lies of the Beautiful People'

Ok, now it's getting ridiculous. I need the new SIXX:AM record now.The band keeps dropping teaser clips with just a few seconds of new music to whet our appetites. Well, SIXX: AM has my full attention, thank you very much. I loved the last clip and I love this new one even more. Check it out: "Lies of the Beautiful People."

The new album is due in May.

I wonder if there really will be a Crue Fest 3 this summer? That's the rumor. There's also the never-dying rumor that Motley Crue will tour with Poison and the NY Dolls. I've heard that rumor from several different people over the past week, so maybe it will happen after all but I'm still just too skeptical to buy it. Regardless, if there is a Crue Fest 3, I hope that means SIXX:AM is on the bill. I want to hear these new songs live.

The Sample of the New Whitesnake is Awesome

Oh my Glam! The new Whitesnake song "Love Will Set You Free" is awesome. So far, the band has only released a 90 second sample, but I love it! The song will be on the new album Forevermore which I think is a great title. The new record will be out March 29 via Frontiers. It's heavily rumored Whitesnake will headline M3, and I think that's a great possibility, especially considering the new album and tour. Forevermore is probably the top album I'm looking forward to this year...only a couple more months to go!

The full single and video for "Love Will Set You Free" will be released February 21.

I Miss Beau Nasty

I'm sick of the usual suspects, I want Beau Nasty!

The band only released one album, but it's all Glam! Beau Nasty released Dirty But Well Dressed in 1989. Beau Hill produced the record so you know that means it is sleazetastic! For whatever reason, the band never made it big...even despite a Sony contract.

I obviously never got to see Beau Nasty live which is sad – I bet they were a fun show. There are times when I like to look through my obscure tunes and rediscover what someone else missed. For what it is worth, I think Beau Nasty is just as good as Britny Fox...the band most seem to compare them to, perhaps based on looks alone.

Some of the members of Beau Nasty are with other acts now, including drummer Mike Terrana and George Bernhardt.

If you own a copy of Dirty But Well Dressed, (on CD format) don't pitch it – the album is very rare and increasingly more expensive as the years go by.

New Band: Bitch Queens

Want new Glam? How about new punk? How about both? Enter Switzerland's Bitch Queens.

The Swiss rockers have a new album called Female Shotgun and it features the single “Hooked on Gasoline.” The stage names are a hoot, too. Case in point: Kid Krystal (vocals), Captain Ace (drums), Diamond Dan (guitar), Marc Steele (bass). The band lists the New York Dolls, MC5, The Hellacopters, Mötley Crüe, Backyard Babies, AC/DC and more among their influences. I think this is accurate. Watch the video below. Bitch Queens are definitely in the vein of 70s glitter Glam – and seriously – check out the glitter on the faces of these men!

What is the Best "Worst" Album in Your Collection?

We've all got them: CDs that we love, but we know they are the perfect example of what eventually went wrong with the 80s Glam scene. Too many bands flooded the market, and many without anything distinctive to make them special. Bands that put out mediocre albums...but for whatever reason, we all like a few of them.

The other day I came across the "worst" album in my collection that I still love, and that album is the self-titled album by Heavy Bones. The album is so contrived, and the band seems like it was simply put together by Warner Brothers to make "the perfect 80s album." It is full of clichés, cheesy lyrics and vain, failed attempts to appear introspective. All that aside, I dig this album. I sing along to the songs and thoroughly enjoy it. I can not explain it, but there is just something about this CD...regardless of the fact that every single person I have ever played it for has absolutely hated it.

So what are the other favorite "bad" albums out there that people actually like? What do you rock-out to secretly, for fear that your friends would not talk to you if they found out?
