Lenny Kravitz, 'Human' -- New Music

Lenny Kravitz just released a lyric video for his new song "Human" from the upcoming album Blue Electric Light. That new album is due at the end of May.

This year is already a big one for Kravtiz. He is nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and will likely easily get in. He won the "Music Icon" statue last month from the People's Choice Awards, too. There is also a summer tour of Europe planned and I have to image some American live dates thrown in somewhere for good measure. What do you think of "Human?"

The Best Rock Videos Of 1998 - Day 3

Back in 1998, Lenny Kravitz released the album simply titled 5. On it was one of his biggest hits "Fly Away." He won a Grammy for the track, too. When the video for "Fly Away" came out, I was a freshman in college, enjoying my first semester. I was pretty sure the video of Lenny's club show was what all my future college parties would be like. (They weren't!) The song still brings me good memories each time I hear it.

'Fresh Air' Programming Note - Lenny Kravitz

I was listening to my local NPR station while getting ready for work this morning. During Morning Edition there was a promo for Fresh Air with Terry Gross. Today, the show will revisit a conversation with Lenny Kravitz and take a look at his music journey. I thought this sounded like it was worth a listen and I wanted to share. Terry Gross is probably the best interviewer in the country. This is a long-form interview and is nearly 40 minutes.
