'Cry Little Sister' - A Widely Covered Banger!

Is "Cry Little Sister" the most covered rock song of all time or what?

I was listening to an excellent Halloween-themed Metal show on the Sirius XM app and the Season's After cover of "Cry Little Sister" was included in the show. And holy cow I forgot how much I loved their version of the track. The song is from The Lost Boys soundtrack and originally recorded by Gerard McMahon.

I remember getting the Seasons After debut album Through Tomorrow when it came out in 2008. After Sirius played the track I immediately added it to my running playlist. For those curious, the band doesn't exist anymore.

Lyric Noel - this is a new artist I discovered while looking up clips of "Cry Little Sister." Her cover version came out just a couple weeks ago.

Marilyn Manson covered the song too... It really is a goth staple.

Vampires Everywhere! gave in and did a cover of "Cry Little Sister," too:

Sebastian Bach, 'Future of Youth' -- New Video

Sebastian Bach is back with a video for his song "Future of Youth" from his new album Child Within The Man. The song features Orianthi on guitar and she's in the video, too!

What's not to love here? There's Bach swinging his mic and banging his head in just that way he does. There's Orianthi rocking out with her hair flat-ironed and perfectly in place plus there's a youth choir that gives a new element to this modern rock track.

Child Within The Man really is a strong album - one of the best of the year.

We're Getting More Than 40 Poison Shows In 2026

Poison drummer Rikki Rockett was on Eddie Trunk's radio show Halloween night. During the interview, Rockett promised at least 40 live Poison shows in 2026.

Why 2026? Because that is the 40th anniversary of Poison's debut Look What The Cat Dragged In.I hope Poison is the headliner on a package tour, but who knows how it will all go down. I just know I'm excited. Shut up and take my money!

It Really Is Halloween

I've been having one truly bonkers workday. It is certainly living up to Halloween - at least where I'm concerned. It's like everyone has gone batty or something and all at once, too.

Anyway, since it is Halloween, there's nothing better than spinning some Alice Cooper while passing out treats. Or while working. Or running. Or even just sitting around.

Here we are at Halloween eve. This means Christmas music hell is upon us.

To that end, Sirius XM just posted their holiday music lineup. All the channels below launch Friday, November 1. There is at least a Trans-Siberian Orchestra channel and a Rockin' Xmas channel, which is probably where you'll hear the Twisted Sister Christmas album.
