FireHouse Makes It Official: Nate Peck Is Permanent

Singer Nate Peck was filling in for CJ Snare so FireHouse could keep their contracted shows going while Snare was getting medical care, but Snare suddenly passed away at the beginning of April. Just last night, the members of FireHouse announced Nate Peck as the band's permanent singer.

This announcement isn't surprising. I will be seeing the band live next month when they open for Warrant here in Ohio.

Bon Jovi, 'Living Proof' -- New Lyric Video

Another Friday, another new Bon Jovi single! The band just released the lyric video for "Living Proof," a song on the upcoming new album Forever.

Guess what? This is more like classic Bon Jovi with a talk box and it is uptempo! It's not a ballad, people.

It Is Happening: David Gilmour Edition

About those David Gilmour tickets that I wanted so bad… I got a pair!

I ended up with the Hollywood Bowl on October 29. The date kind of sucks for me personally, but I am going to try and make it work. It’s been a dream of mine to see Gilmour play his guitar live and in a historic venue no less! The best part was that I got lucky with a pre-sale code and just bought tickets direct. They weren’t cheap per se but they also weren’t jacked-up aftermarket prices either.

Pink Floyd forever, man.

Mike Tramp's White Lion Announces Tour

Mike Tramp's White Lion is touring North America this summer and fall. Many dates are already out and apparently more are coming. There's a lot of state diversity here - so if you've never seen Tramp live, now is probably a great chance!

Richie Kotzen, 'Cheap Shots' -- New Song

Richie Kotzen is back with new music! He just released the song "Cheap Shots" and the lyric video is below. A proper video is coming Friday. Hopefully this means another album is coming down the pike - Richie never disappoints. Just a multi-talented guitarist and songwriter. Love him.

A Reminder: Mick Jagger Is 80

Mick Jagger, frontman for the Rolling Stones, is 80. So is guitarist Keith Richards. I point this out along with the setlist from a recent Rolling Stones gig in Las Vegas. Notice the band did 19 tracks.

That is a long show - so good for the band and good for the fans! Better than some of our faves - who are decades younger!
